Calicut-based BPM Power Private Limited, which owns and operates EV Startup chargeMOD, has raised Rs 2.5 crore in pre-Seed funding from Kerala-based Phoenix Angels to accelerate its product growth.
The startup said it has developed EV charging points for home and commercial use, and its mobile app enables users to find charging stations nearby.
In a blog post, It claimed to have executed projects in partnership with prominent names such as Larsen & Toubro (L&T), Murugappa Group, Kerala State Electricity Board (KSEB), and Kochi Metro Rail Limited (KMRL), among others.
Founded in 2019 by Ramanunni and his friends M Ramanunni, V Anoop, Advaith C and Chris Thomas, chargeMOD is incubated under Kerala Start-up Mission (KSUM), a central agency of the Government of Kerala for entrepreneurship development and incubation activities in Kerala.
Within a short span of time, chargeMOD claims that it is managing over 2,000 chargers in its system and holding over 90% of the market share in Kerala’s EV charging ecosystem.
