Growth Sense raises $600,000 in funding led by marquee angel investors, micro VCs, industry veterans

Growth Sense, a trusted and vibrant ecosystem for startups, has closed its funding round, raising $600,000.

The funding round was led by marquee angels, micro VCs and industry veterans. With the closure of this round, Growth Sense's existing investors have seen their wealth grow over 3.5x in the last year.

Earlier in May this year, GrowthSense invested an undisclosed amount in Accelerate India, a pioneering initiative dedicated to fostering global entrepreneurship and innovation.

Founded by industry veterans Jimish Kapadia, Sanjay Sarda, and Sushant Bhasin, Growth Sense is focused on helping startups at any stage, from idea to advanced growth stage, by providing a complete support system through its ventures, such as Growth Metaverse (a technology service provider), Growth Circle Creatives (advertisement and branding), and Growth Associates (legal and compliance services).

The company follows a unique model of wealth creation, where its expert team works with startups as their extended arm or virtual co-founders.

Creating a go-to platform for investors

Growth Sense aims to create a trustworthy platform for investors to identify future unicorns while helping startups achieve this status through value consulting and mentoring. 

Notably, the company has developed an open-ended platform for experts to contribute professionally to the growth of startups.

Growth Sense has also created a Growth Fund, which allows angel investors to own shares in a curated selection of startups.

It offers features such as small investment amounts, easy entry and exit options, expert due diligence, thorough analysis of business plans, and zero stress of monitoring progress.

Some of its portfolio startups are edtech startup Klass Room, Wealth management platform Tarrakki, Hostel booking platform Homversity, Consumer electronics firm Deciwood, Bulkpe, BizPay, IndusUno, Tulua, Beep, and Charisma School. 

Who are the founders?

Sanjay Sarda is an alumnus of IIT Kharagpur and IIM Ahmedabad. He has over 29 years of working experience in India and the USA.

He is a Certified Corporate Director by IICA and IOD and one of the first few individuals in India to qualify as an Independent Director. Sanjay also serves as a virtual CEO for a diverse set of businesses and HNIs, helping them provide solutions for critical challenges, decision-making, and business strategy. 

Earlier, Sanjay was associated with many multinationals such as Monsanto, Procter and Gamble, General Electric, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM Global Services, CSX Corporation, Krishidhan Group, and Ernst and Young LLP in diverse roles.

Jimish Kapadia is an active angel investor and very well connected in the banking and startup community.

In his earlier roles, he was a Senior Director of Asia Pacific at Buckzy Payments Inc. and President and Regional Head of transaction Banking and digital Banking across corporate clients for West and South India at Yes Bank.

Jimish holds a Master's degree in Commerce from the University of Gujarat and a PGDBA from Symbiosis. He brings with him over 20 years of experience in banking across Yes Bank and ICICI Bank.

Sushant Bhasin is an experienced banker with a profound understanding of the ever-evolving financial services market. 

He has domain expertise across all facets of Transaction Banking, including working capital management, supply chain management, structured trade and capital markets, and financial and payments technologies.

In his last role as Executive Director of Global Transaction Banking at First Abu Dhabi Bank, he was responsible for building the Transaction Banking business vertical from scratch. 

Prior to this, he worked with some of the world’s and India’s leading banking/financial services companies, such as ANZ, Bank of America, YES Bank, and GE Capital, in diverse senior-level positions across business strategy, product development, sales and client management, and operations.
