Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha spent a day experiencing the work of a delivery rider with 10-minute delivery platform Blinkit, sharing a short teaser of the experience on social media.
In a video posted on X (formerly Twitter), Chadha is seen changing into a Blinkit T-shirt and jacket, picking up a delivery bag from a rider, and riding pillion on a scooter during the delivery run.
The clip shows the duo collecting items from a store and heading to a customer’s location, where the delivery partner rings the doorbell as Chadha follows closely behind.
The video ends with the message “Stay tuned,” while the caption reads, “Away from boardrooms, at the grassroots. I lived their day. Stay tuned.”

Chadha did not disclose further details about what followed during the delivery, but the teaser has sparked widespread discussion online and in political circles.
The post comes weeks after Chadha raised concerns in Parliament over the working conditions of gig and platform workers, including low pay, long working hours, and the lack of social security protections.
Last month, a Blinkit delivery executive named ‘Thapliyal Ji’ went viral after he shared details of his daily earnings on Instagram, sparking debate over gig workers’ pay.
In a viral Instagram reel, the delivery boy named Thapliyal Ji said he earned Rs 763 after completing 28 deliveries over a nearly 15-hour workday.
That video also triggered public outrage, including criticism from Raghav Chadha, who has repeatedly spotlighted the challenges faced by gig workers in India’s booming quick-commerce and food delivery sectors.
Today, gig workers have announced a strike to highlight their grievances.

I raised their issues in Parliament earlier in the month, expecting responsible engagement from the platforms.

Chadha’s recent experiment as a delivery rider is seen by supporters as a symbolic gesture in a broader campaign to highlight systemic issues affecting gig workers, including demanding an end to ultra-fast “10-minute delivery” promises, which many argue can compromise riders’ safety and push them into unsafe working conditions.
He has stressed that gig workers are “not robots” and deserve fair wages, humane working hours, and social security protections as part of India’s evolving digital economy.
