Actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu invests in organic superfoods brand Nourish You

Homegrown organic superfoods maker Nourish You has raised an undisclosed amount in a seed funding round from actor Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

The funding announcement comes after Y Janardhana Rao of Triumph Group; Rohit Chennamaneni, Co-founder, Darwinbox; Nikhil Kamath, Co-founder of Zerodha; Abhijeet Pai, Co-Founder of Gruhas Proptech; Abhinay Bollineni, CEO, KIMS Hospitals, among others, invested in the brand.

"Investing in Nourish You was a natural progression since I have been consuming their products for a while. I was impressed by their story of bringing superfoods like Quinoa and Chia to India, growing them locally, and their product roadmap of millet based clean-label vegan superfoods," said Samantha Ruth Prabhu.

In addition to the investment, Samantha has also launched Nourish You's first plant-based, vegan, and lactose-free milk alternative - Millet Mlk. 

According to the brand, Millet Mlk is a nutritious, sustainable dairy milk alternative that is gluten-free and made with ragi, jowar, bajra, and oats. The product comes in two flavours, original and chocolate, and can be used in teas, coffees, and smoothies.

Founded by Krishna Reddy and Sowmya Reddy, Apart from its own website, Nourish You also sells its products through e-commerce marketplaces such as Amazon and Flipkart.
