Troubled Byju’s, which has seen several senior leaders depart over the past few weeks, has now appointed Arjun Mohan as its Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of India operations.

This comes after Arjun Mohan denied the media claims that he had assumed the role of International CEO of Byju’s. However, he had confirmed the collaboration with Byju Raveendran, the co-founder of Byju’s.

Arjun Mohan succeeds Mrinal Mohit, founding partner and the outgoing head of India business at BYJU’S, who is embarking on a new journey to pursue personal aspirations, the company said in a statement.

Arjun Mohan’s journey

Mohan, who previously had served as Byju’s Chief Business Officer, quit the firm in 2020 to join Ronnie Screwvala’s upGrad as CEO. He initially began his journey with BYJU’S in 2008 as a consultant.

“It was no surprise that I joined him to revolutionize education more than a decade ago. And it is no surprise either that I return to BYJU’S today, when technology is poised to play an even more important role in making education truly personalised. While challenges are aplenty, I am ready to play my role in helping BYJU’S empower our current and future generations to thrive in a rapidly changing world,” Arjun Mohan said.

What Byju Raveendran say about Arjun Mohan?
