Update: upGrad's former CEO Arjun Mohan working with Byju's, but not as international CEO

upGrad's former CEO and CBO of Byju's Arjun Mohan has addressed recent speculation regarding his role at BYJU'S. He confirmed collaboration with Byju Raveendran, the co-founder of the edtech giant, but denied assuming the position of International CEO of the company.

In a response to questions from Mint, Mohan elaborated, "I am collaborating with Byju Raveendran on a range of projects, but I have not officially joined the company in the capacity of International CEO."

These remarks followed an earlier report by Moneycontrol claiming that the education technology titan, BYJU'S, had appointed Arjun Mohan as its International CEO.

Arjun Mohan has had a long association with BYJU'S, starting as a consultant in 2008. He held the position of Chief Business Officer before joining upGrad in 2020. However, he departed from upGrad in January 2023, sparking rumors of his return to BYJU'S.
