Athlete Neeraj Chopra joins GoodDot as its brand ambassador

Udaipur-headquartered GoodDot, a plant-based meat brand, today said it has signed up Olympics gold medallist Neeraj Chopra as its brand ambassador.

The brand also said the athlete Neeraj Chopra will be a key part of its mission to create awareness about the category of plant-based meats to encourage people to make compassionate food choices.

The plant-based meat brand was founded in 2016 by Abhishek Sinha (CEO) and Deepak Parihar (CFO), with a vision to provide its consumers with an alternative to meat that is ethically and sustainably produced.

GoodDot offers alternatives to mutton, chicken, and eggs. The brand sells its products through online marketplaces like Amazon and Flipkart. Apart from India, It also targets customers based in Canada, Singapore, Nepal, Dubai, South Africa, Mauritius, and Oman.

Speaking on the association, Abhishek Sinha, co-founder & CEO, GoodDot, said, “Team GoodDot is proud to welcome Neeraj Chopra to our shared mission to make the world a more compassionate place. In July 2021, GoodDot had raised an undisclosed amount in funding from domestic consumer-centric fund Sixth Sense Ventures. US-based New Crop Capital and RCM Business are also an investor in the startup.

Earlier, Bollywood couple Ritesh Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza had launched their own plant-based meat products business named Imagine Meats.
