Mamaearth Co-Founder Ghazal Alagh recently took to X to share her excitement about receiving an invitation for an interaction with the President of India.
"Butterflies in my stomach as I head to meet the President of India, Honourable Draupadi Murmu," Ghazal wrote.
"I am honoured and humbled. It’s amazing to see how respect for entrepreneurs is evolving in this New India and being a priority for our government. It makes me feel that any dream can come true if you are willing to work hard," she added.
President Murmu meets leading women entrepreneurs
The President of India, Droupadi Murmu, on January 18, interacted with a group of women founders of leading startups and unicorns at Rashtrapati Bhavan. The meeting took place under the initiative “The President with the People”, which aims to establish a deeper connection with people and recognise their contributions.

During the interaction with women entrepreneurs, the President underlined that the ‘Start-up India’ programme was launched with the aim of harnessing the potential of youth and strengthening the entrepreneurial environment in the country.
She appreciated the founders for making invaluable contributions to achieving the objective of this program.
The President also urged the women entrepreneurs to identify other enterprising women and support them in their journey of empowerment.
