As part of the transaction, Aakansha Bhargava has joined the startup as Director as well as an Advisor, where she will be managing public relations, marketing, branding, overall logistics, building strategies to accelerate the company's growth, and driving customized solutions to mothers for the dream room for their kids, the statement said.

ikOOji operates an online kids-focused furniture marketplace and manufactures with a modern twist and functionality. In its online marketplace its offers products like cradles, study & craft tables, nursery chairs, Montessori Storages, toys, nightstands, bed bunks, etc.

The startup was established during the first wave of COVID-19 last year and even in this pandemic-stricken economy, it has managed to cross the Rs 1 Cr revenue bracket in the business. Started by two friends Karan Singh & Manuraj Singh, after realizing the untapped potential of the kids' focused furniture market in India.

The one-year-old startup already has a team of strong founders and some brilliant stalwarts working for them. Now with a figure like Aakansha Bhargava joining the team and the company's operations, the future seems even brighter for the company which has already become India’s Favourite Kids Furniture brand in such a short span of time, the statement said.

Aakansha Bhargava has already proven her capabilities as a leader and director. PM Relocations, the company which she had taken charge of at 21 years of age, has now become a very successful and well-established entity in the country. Akansha having managed a logistics firm and having a good amount of experience in marketing, scaling, and streamlining will be a very good value addition for Ikooji’s future expansion plans, it said.

Commenting on the development, Karan Singh, Co-founder of Ikooji, said, "“This market has to be ventured into carefully with practical steps and having Aakanksha on board makes the task easier as she comes with a wholesome package. Apart from bringing to the table a diverse range of skill sets and decades of experience in the entrepreneurial world, she is also the right voice to drive our mission and help in the growth of Ikooji."

Speaking on the investment, Aakansha Bhargava, said, “Being a new mom, my heart has always felt strongly towards ensuring my child has the access to things which are both safe, vibrant, and functional with which my child will grow up. Ikooji is a brand that is high in quality and their vision resonated with my life’s calling. Hence, I wanted to be a part of their journey and help them grow Multifoods given my experience in establishing brands.”
