Feminine hygiene startup Sanfe raises $1M in funding led by LetsVenture, others

Delhi-based feminine hygiene brand Sanfe has raised $1 million in a Series A funding round led by LetsVenture, Ajay Garg, Tarun Sharma (mCaffeine), Arjun Vaidya, Dhimant Parekh, among other D2C entrepreneurs.

Sanfe will utilise the raised funding in brand marketing and customer-centricity. The brand is also working on creating associations and collaborations to increase its presence and recall among the target audience.

Prior to the current round, the brand had raised $1 million in a pre-Series A round in February 2020, led by Shankar Naryanan, Rohit Chanana, SucSeed Innovation Fund, Titan Capital, among others.

“Our investors have helped us immensely to make our vision a reality with their guidance and deep involvement. It has helped us ensure that we stay true to our mission of being a voice and choice for women’s intimate wellness and hygiene," Harry Sehrawat said.

Launched in 2018 by IIT-Delhi graduates Archit Aggarwal and Harry Sehrawat, Redroom Technology Pvt. Ltd., which owns and operates Sanfe, a feminine hygiene brand that deals in product categories like Intimate Skincare, Body Grooming, and Period Care.

Incubated at IIT-Delhi, the startup claims to have witnessed 55% growth in the current quarter and has achieved over 210% growth annually.

"This year, we are going to scale up the business, build up a strong portfolio of products with new categories, to focus on customer experience, and problem-solving. Thus, it will create a better world for women,” he adds.

Apart from its own platform, Sanfe also sells its products on e-commerce platforms like Nykaa, Amazon, Myntra, Snapdeal, Flipkart, and others.

Speaking on the investment, Sunitha Ramaswamy, President of Early-stage Business, LetsVenture, said: “I am a firm believer in partnering with brands that are future-proof and show vast potential for growth. Sanfe is undoubtedly getting it right with their focus to connect to women as their ‘all-time companion’ for their different body needs without hesitation."
