IAN Group appoints Sarika Saxena as Managing Partner at IAN Alpha Fund

Indian seed and early-stage investment firm IAN Group today said it has appointed Sarika Saxena as its Managing Partner for IAN Alpha Fund, a SEBI-registered Venture Capital fund.

Who is Sarika Saxena?

Sarika, who has over 25 years of industry experience, has held significant roles in various organizations and has a rich history in startup and early-stage investments. 

She has been involved in investments worth approximately $100 million and managed assets worth around $300 million. Her investment portfolio has covered a range of sectors, including consumer, technology, fintech, edtech, etc both within the domestic and international markets, according to a release.

The firm said that Sarika's experience will help in scaling companies and mergers and acquisitions.

What is the IAN Alpha Fund?

IAN Alpha Fund, a Rs 1,000 crore ($125 million) SEBI-registered AIF Category II VC Fund, is the second Fund in IAN’s series of funds. 

It leverages the portfolios of both the IAN Angel Platform and IAN Fund I apart from investing in innovative startups solving real problems for India and the world, with sustainable business models enabling scale by leveraging technology.
