India's Infosys to provide free certification in AI and Generative AI skills

Indian technology giant Infosys has introduced a free Artificial Intelligence (AI) certification training on Infosys Springboard.

According to the company, The certification aims to help learners develop skills in AI, which is a technology that mimics human intelligence. Experts from Infosys who specialize in AI and data strategy will contribute to designing the training program, the company said.

The certification will include various courses covering different aspects of AI. For instance, there will be an introductory course on AI and Generative AI, which focuses on deep learning and natural language processing. Another course, called the masterclass on AI and the impact of Generative AI, will emphasize prompt engineering and AI-first software engineering.

Additionally, The company will offer a customized course called 'Citizens Data Science,' which will cover topics such as python programming, linear algebra, probability and statistics, and exploratory data analysis. Learners who successfully complete the courses will receive a certificate, it said.

Infosys Springboard is a virtual platform that provides a rich curriculum for learning. It offers high-quality learning experiences to students from Class 6 and beyond. The platform allows educators and learners to collaborate closely, and it can be accessed from any device.

Infosys said it aims to accelerate the digital skills development of learners, including school and college students, professionals, and adults.

Since its launch, The company claims that its Springboard has gained popularity, with over 5.5 million registered users. As part of its ESG Vision 2030, Infosys plans to empower more than 10 million people in India through the Infosys Springboard program by providing digital skills training at a large scale.
