Ride-hailing giant Ola, which battles with US-based Uber, has restarted its bike taxi service, which will be all-electric in Karnataka's Bengaluru.
Announcing the development, Co-founder & CEO Bhavish Aggarwal, in a tweet, wrote, Restarting Ola Bike in Blr today 🙂

According to Bhavish, the bike taxi service, which will be all-electric, consisting of Ola Electric's S1 scooters, would cost Rs 25 for 5 km and Rs 50 for a 10 km ride in the city.
"Lowest cost, very comfortable and great for the environment! Will scale across India over next few months," he wrote.
In another tweet, Bhavish said that the company will be introducing Ola Electric's scooters in its fleet.

The development comes amid bike taxi aggregators engaging in a legal battle with the Karnataka government over the legality of their services in the state.
