PropChk partners with IIT Roorkee to set new industry standards for Home Inspection

Tech-driven home inspection startup PropChk today said it has partnered with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee as it aims in setting new industry standards for home inspections in India, intending to guarantee the safety and quality of properties through a set of comprehensive protocols.

Unlike Western nations such as the US, where well-defined standards exist for contractors, developers, builders, and consumers, The startup said India's industry lacks such uniform rules, which has resulted in uncertainty when it comes to verifying property safety and adherence to construction norms, it said.
