PUBG Mobile Coming Back To India?; PUBG Corporation Official Statement

• PUBG Corporation has made the decision to no longer authorize the PUBG MOBILE franchise to Tencent Games in India.
• On August 2, the Indian government banned the PUBG Mobile among 117 additional Chinese apps due to the violation of section 69A of the Indian IT act.
• The move will allow the company to provide its own PUBG experience to fans in India.

PUBG Corporation said they have decided to no longer authorize the Tencent for PUBG Mobile in the India region. Also, PUBG Corporation will take all the authorization and responsibilities within the country.

On August 2, the Indian government banned a total of 118 Chinese apps including PUBG Mobile due to the policy violation of the Indian IT act.

It is now considered that the PUBG Mobile may come back to India after PUBG Corporation takes the authorization and all the responsibilities from the Chinese company Tencent for the India region.

PUBG Corporation was actively monitoring the situation around the recent ban on PUBG Mobile and its Lite version in India.

Looking at the situation PUBG corporation decided to take the authorization from the Tencent holdings for PUBG Mobile franchise in India.

As the company explores ways to provide its own PUBG experience for India in the near future, it is committed to doing so by sustaining a localized and healthy gameplay environment for its fans.

PUBG Mobile is the mobile version of the original PUBG, an intellectual property owned and developed by the PUBG Corporation, a South Korean company.

Earlier this month, PUBG Mobile and its lite version got banned by the Indian government which resulted in Tencent loss of $14 billion in its market value.
