Shiprocket, India's 106th unicorn and e-commerce enablement platform, has announced the integration of its seller app with ONDC (Open Network for Digital Commerce). This integration aims to simplify the onboarding process for sellers on the ONDC network, aligning with Shiprocket's mission to streamline the lives of independent e-commerce merchants in India.

By leveraging the Shiprocket seller app, merchants utilizing Shopify-powered stores can easily become discoverable on the ONDC network. Shiprocket is dedicated to providing a seamless onboarding experience for sellers on ONDC, offering post-support assistance as well. This integration opens up an additional low-cost demand channel for sellers, enhancing their opportunities for growth.

While ONDC boasts an extensive catalogue of food and grocery items, Shiprocket plans to expand ONDC's reach by enabling five key categories, including Beauty and Personal Care, Fashion, Electronics and Appliances, Health and Wellness, and Home and Kitchen.

Notably, prominent brands in these categories are already achieving substantial Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) of over Rs 330 Crores on the Shiprocket platform, with more than 220,000 live Stock Keeping Units (SKUs). This integration represents just the beginning, with the potential for significant growth as ONDC unlocks opportunities for SMEs.

ONDC, as India's open network for digital commerce, serves as a catalyst for business growth in the rapidly evolving e-commerce ecosystem. The Shiprocket seller app facilitates streamlined order management, inventory tracking, and easy identification of ONDC orders for sellers. Moreover, it empowers sellers to effectively monitor their growth. Noteworthy brands such as Giva, Boult Audio, and TNW, among others, are already contributing to the ONDC network's catalog. The integration ensures that merchant catalogs are visible across buyer apps integrated with ONDC, including Pincode, Paytm, Mystore, E-unimart, and more. The platform actively continues to onboard additional sellers, with the goal of enabling over 50 brands to go live on the network by the first week of July.

Saahil Goel, CEO & Co-Founder of Shiprocket, stated, "Shiprocket was one of the initial players to integrate into the ONDC network and the first one to enable intercity logistics in India. We share the same mission of democratizing e-commerce for Indian merchants as ONDC. In the last 8 months, we've together been able to enable sellers to access new markets, connect with millions of potential customers, and clock revenue generation opportunities. This seller app is our testament to enabling e-commerce for merchants and being their partner in growth from every nook and corner of BHARAT. With the nation marching towards the India@100 dream, we are all set to bolster that growth by equipping the MSME sector with transformative ways of connecting with consumers," the company said.

T Koshy, Managing Director and CEO of ONDC emphasized their commitment to leveling the playing field for online and offline sellers amidst the e-commerce wave sweeping through India. Koshy added that Shiprocket's seller app will enable sellers to seamlessly, securely, and cost-effectively sell their products on ONDC, further empowering their success in the evolving marketplace.
