Partnership with well-known brands

Dhindsa said the company has partnered with well-known brands in the electronics category, including HP, Lenovo, Zebronics, MSI and Canon, and added that new brands and products will be introduced soon.

This move makes Blinkit the third major quick commerce player to offer rapid delivery of big-ticket electronics, following Flipkart Minutes and Bigbasket’s BB Now.

Rising competition in the quick commerce market

The Indian quick commerce market has been heating up with the arrival of U.S. giants Amazon and Flipkart, both expanding into faster deliveries.

Amazon is testing its “Tez” service in Bengaluru, while Flipkart’s “Minutes” platform is widening its network of dark stores to handle electronics and essential items.

Local competitors such as Swiggy Instamart and Zepto are also refining their strategies, prompting existing players to innovate and find ways to stay profitable.

Blinkit's 10-minute ambulance service

Blinkit’s latest expansion follows several other initiatives. Earlier this month, the company launched a 10-minute ambulance service in Gurugram, aiming to extend it to more cities within two years.

Parent firm Zomato also introduced a 15-minute quick delivery option in its main app, giving users faster food choices under a dedicated “15-minute delivery” tab.

Meanwhile, rival Swiggy recently rolled out a 10-minute food delivery app called Bolt, focusing on popular restaurants and quick-service outlets in major metros and eyeing further growth in Tier-2 and Tier-3 locations.

In December, Blinkit introduced a new food delivery platform called Bistro, designed to get snacks, meals and beverages to customers in around 10 minutes through cloud kitchens.

Around the same time, competitor Zepto launched Zepto Cafe, which combines both physical restaurants and quick-service kitchens.

BigBasket, backed by the Tata Group, is also eyeing faster delivery for more than just groceries—by joining forces with Tata Cliq, it plans to ship fashion items in 15 minutes, reflecting how quick commerce is expanding well beyond the basics.
